The first ever DNV GL Rules for Classification of Ships are now available for download.
These rules, together with the legacy rule sets of both former DNV and GL, presently form the complete set of Rules for DNV GL.
The DNV GL rules give general regulations for the use of the two legacy rule sets during the transition period until DNV GL has fully established one rule set. The DNV GL rules came into force at the date of publication and will be the platform for all existing and coming contracts, for new builds, for vessels in operation and for certification of materials & components.
