SOC-CMM Certified Assessor
In this two-day course, you will learn about the different types of SOCs and how to use the SOC-CMM to assess them.
You will also learn about the entire assessment process, including assessment types, data collection strategies, preparation, execution, analysis of results, and finally reporting the results in an effective format. In addition, the course teaches you how to create a Target Operating Model (TOM) for a SOC. This provides a strategic direction for the SOC, based on mission, vision and strategy. You will learn how to create a TOM and how to link this to SOC-CMM audits.
This course prepares you to work strategically in a SOC, assess its current state, and define its future goals.
On request, you can attend a practical workshop in which you gain hands-on experience in preparing and conducting a full SOC-CMM assessment. You will learn to determine the correct parameters and carry out the assessment step by step in a structured manner. The workshop helps you avoid pitfalls, interpret results accurately and achieve a successful assessment within your own SOC.
Exam and certification
This course includes an exam voucher which allows you to take the exam to become a SOC-CMM Certified Assessor (SOC-CA). Upon successful completion of the exam and registration with the SECO Institute, you will receive an official certificate. The SOC-CA certification is valid for one year and can be renewed if you meet the continuing professional development (CPD) requirements by registering your CPD points with the SECO Institute.
Benefits of certification
With an SOC-CMM Certified Assessor certificate, you demonstrate verifiable expertise in the objective assessment of SOC maturity and effectiveness. You conduct structured assessments and provide substantiated insights for improvement. This increases confidence in your judgement and supports targeted, continuous improvement. At the same time, you distinguish yourself professionally and enhance your added value as an SOC professional.
