Combining system expertise from asset owners, operators and manufacturers together with DNV’s domain expertise on automation is a valuable activity to create common understanding between the stakeholders.

Through a workshop, the automation structure is reviewed and discussed. The objective is to reveal potential design issues at an early stage and establish mitigating actions to reduce the risk to acceptable levels. A workshop can cover a single system, or multiple vendors can be brought together to clarify integration between systems and clear up potential misunderstandings.
