On 7 March, the GFSI Steering Committee decided that IFS has provided suitable remediation and to reinstate the GFSI recognition of IFS as of 8 March 2023.
In short, this means that GFSI recognition is reinstated for certification against the IFS standard. Any audits undertaken against the IFS food safety standard(s) during the suspension period (8 December 2022 – 7 March 2023) will not be recognized by GFSI.
All audits recognized against the IFS food safety standard(s) from March 8 and onwards are recognized by GFSI.
