SE-11 Wind induced fatigue

Wind induced fatigue training

This course covers gust wind and vortex shedding induced fatigue analysis for tubular space frame structures such as flare booms

Description

This course covers gust wind and vortex shedding induced fatigue analysis for tubular space frame structures such as flare booms. Structure modelling and meshing is performed in GeniE, fluctuating wind loads will be calculated in Wajac, after Sestra solution, the final spectral fatigue analysis will be performed in a special wind fatigue module of Framework.

Learning scope

The following topics will be covered:

  1. Environmental modelling
  2. Wind loads in Wajac
  3. Managing Sesam Workflow
  4. Wind induced fatigue analysis

Target group

Structural Engineers performing wind induced fatigue analysis for topside structures.
