ISO 20001 Food Loss and Waste Management System Foundation Course

Requirements for the minimization of food loss & waste across the food supply chain

A two-day foundation course based on ISO/DIS 20001 that provides a framework for improving food loss and waste management and supporting sustainability goals.

ISO 20001 is a new international standard for food loss and waste management system (FLWMS) . It is currently in development and expected to be released very soon. It introduces a common language for defining, measuring, and reporting food waste that can be applied to the whole food supply chain from farm to fork irrespective of the size of the organisation.

The standard is compatible with other management system standards like the ISO 9001 & ISO 22000. As per ISO organization, this standard contributes to the following Sustainable Development Goals:

  • Clean Water and Sanitation;
  • Responsible Consumption and Production;
