IFS Wholesale and Cash & Carry (C&C)

Meet growing transparency and traceability demands in the wholesale market.

Certification to the IFS Wholesale and Cash & Carry (C&C) Standard demonstrates that as a reliable wholesaler, cash & carry business or packing company,  you have food and product safety under control.

The IFS Wholesale and Cash & Carry (C&C) Standard also creates confidence in your products and processes ensuring safety, quality, legality and compliance with specified customer requirements.

What is the IFS Wholesale and Cash & Carry (C&C) Standard

The standard is part of the International Featured Standards family of standards and has been developed specifically for wholesalers and cash & carry businesses handling food, household and personal care (HPC) products or packaging materials, as well as packing companies for eggs, fruit, and vegetables. IFS Standards are uniform global safety and quality standards that provide transparency and comparability along the entire post-farm supply chain.

The requirements for IFS Cash & Carry standard are structured like the IFS Food and include specific requirements for the special needs of the cash & carry market and wholesalers. It requires that the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points (HACCP) study regarding the processing of loose products and the logistical operations with packaged products must be presented in a differentiated way.

  • The standard assists organizations to establish policies and objectives to implement a functional product safety and quality management system.
  • It allows an organization to manage its obligation to comply with applicable legal requirements and other stakeholder obligations, and to regularly check the compliance status. This permits a continual improvement of the management system.

Benefits of becoming certified

The potential benefits of IFS Wholesale and Cash & Carry (C&C) standard are numerous, but the most significant and tangible ones are that the standard enables your organization to:
