How can healthcare providers accelerate the adoption of digital technologies?
A new report from The BMJ Future Health Commission, a joint initiative between The BMJ and DNV, explores the state of digital transformation in healthcare. It examines what is needed to build trust and accelerate adoption of digital technologies, and to ensure innovation translates into meaningful improvements in healthcare delivery.
The research finds that while 80% of European healthcare professionals say digital health technology has enabled better care delivery, less than half believe it has improved efficiency or reduced costs.

Drawing on a survey of more than 300 healthcare professionals and interviews with clinicians and administrative staff across Northern Europe, the research considers the human and cultural factors that are central to the success of digital transformation.
The report is essential reading for operational, administrative, and IT professionals in the healthcare sector, as well as clinicians and policy makers.
Building Trust in Digital Transformation of Healthcare arrives at a pivotal moment, as governments across Europe ramp up investment in digital transformation to build more sustainable healthcare systems.
