Following the success of previous years, DNV returns to Lekter’n at Aker Brygge - our central off-site hub throughout the week. From Monday to Thursday, we will host a string of events featuring top talent from DNV and other industry players engaging in discussions, panel talks and informal Q&As engaging conversations on the future of shipping. Lekter’n is also a great spot to connect, relax, and enjoy refreshments - right on the Oslofjord.

Nor-Shipping Sailing Cup 
Monday June 2, Aker Brygge

For the first time ever, DNV will be participating in the Nor-Shipping sail cup open to the public. Kicking off on Monday June 2 we will race other friends from the maritime industry in the Oslo fjord archipelago. Get ready for high-energy, friendly competition at Aker Brygge. Don’t miss one of the most unforgettable events during Nor-Shipping - the BBQ hosted at our campus at Høvik. With roots going all the way back to 1989, this event has grown since its inception to almost host 2500 participants coming together.   • The 1st Seabed Minerals Conference

    The first Norwegian Licenses round for seabed mineral activity is planned to be awarded in the spring of 2025.     Marine operations required for developing, building and operating offshore wind parks and the ecoosystem surrounding offshore and logistics are gearing up for the next 10 years of deepwatr offshore wind projects.   • IMO decarbonization regulation

    In 2023 the IMO agreed a revised a strategy to decarbonize shipping by 2050, and the tools to achieve this have just been signed off, coming into force just ahead of Nor-Shipping. How should shipowners react? For her second Blue Talk, Tuva Flagstad Andersen (Regional Manager DNV Maritime North Europe) will share her insights on how to dissect the new IMO strategy.

    Shining a spotlight on autonomous ships, this year renowned specialists from the field will tackle discussions on barriers and opportunities with the use of technology in commercial shipping. Uncrewed surface vessels and ferries in urban and coastal settings will be on top of the agenda.   • The 3rd Maritime Hydrogen Conference

    As a sustainable energy carrier hydrogen is key to reduce emissions from shipping. However, with its complex value chain and chemical properties, many questions remain unanswered. We’ll explore the latest developments in international ports and their role in enabling hydrogen supply before shifting the focus offshore—to the vessels that are already navigating the seas with hydrogen solutions. Torill Grimstad Osberg (DNV Maritime Gas and Alternative Fuel Expert) will guide the panel through an exploration of vessels that have been realized and headed for open waters.
