IMO’s MEPC extraordinary session – the Net-Zero Framework in focus

DNV is closely monitoring the MEPC/ES.2 meeting and will host a complimentary webinar to share key takeaways and explore the implications for the maritime industry.

The Marine Environment Protection Committee (MEPC) is holding an extraordinary session (MEPC/ES.2) from 14 to 17 October. Following the MEPC 83, this session will focus on the adoption of a revised MARPOL Annex VI, including the Net-Zero Framework (NZF).

The NZF sets greenhouse gas (GHG) emission requirements on ships, in combination with a pricing mechanism, and is widely regarded as the most pivotal regulation to impact shipping in the next decades.

The presenters are Eirik Nyhus, Director Environment and Tore Longva, Director Decarbonization, both from DNV. If you have any questions, please ask them during the webinar. Our experts will answer as many as possible before the end.

SIGN UP NOW and block your calendar for the preferred time on 29 October.

All registered persons have access to the presentation and the video recording a few days after the webinar.

More information about the NZF can be found on our topic page.
