DistribuTECH 2026

DTECH® is the leading transmission and distribution event in the U.S., now expanding with focused events on Data Centers & AI, Reliability & Resiliency, and the Northeast to better support the evolving energy landscape.

From cutting-edge solutions in grid automation, energy efficiency, and demand response to breakthroughs in DER management, smart cities, transportation electrification, and cybersecurity, DTECH® delivers the insights and connections that move the industry forward.

DNV is excited to showcase our latest innovations at DistribuTECH 2026, taking place February 2–5 in San Diego, CA. If you’re attending, we’d love to connect — visit us at booth #UL815!

Join us for our Knowledge Hub presentation

  • Date/time: Tuesday, February 3 at 2pm
  • Location: Reliability & Resiliency Hub
  • Presenter: Larry Trussell, Sr. Principal Electrical Engineer, DNV

Modeling, analyzing, and planning improvements for reliability and resilience

Use reliability analysis to evaluate your distribution system's response to likely events. Location and the actual consequences of events that occurred over the previous years should fuel the analysis. Resilience analysis is different. It assesses the impacts of high impact, yet improbable, events and gauges your system's recovery.

Reliability and resilience analysis run on large, detailed, and complex models.

What facilities should be included in your distribution model? Which ones are the most critical? How should you represent customers? How do you measure loss and consequences? Reliability and resilience studies leverage outage management schemes. How do these schemes compare to your real-world ones?

Reliability and resilience studies are crucial to power distribution planning efforts. We will take you on a tour of our approach to these analyses with Synergi Electric.
