46th Motorship Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference
DNV is a proud gold sponsor and participant in the 46th Motorship Propulsion & Future Fuels Conference, taking place from November 25–27 in Hamburg.
DNV will be present when over 200 maritime professionals will gather from around the world to explore the latest developments in propulsion systems, alternative fuels, and regulatory frameworks driving the transition to net-zero emissions.
The 2025 agenda will feature in-depth sessions on carbon capture, hydrogen and fuel cell integration, methanol, wind-assisted propulsion, and the evolving EU regulatory landscape. DNV will play a prominent role throughout the conference, with several of our experts contributing to key discussions, panels and talks including:
“Harnessing the Power of Wind: Scaling up to meet demand” – where Dr. Uwe Hollenbach (Senior Principal Engineer, Ship Performance Center, DNV Maritime Advisory) will share DNV’s recommended practice for the in-service performance verification of WAPS equipped ships.
“The Ammonia Debate: Sustainable Shipping or Safety Concern?” – ammonia might be a promising sustainable fuel, but dies safety concerns impact its viability? Benjamin Scholz (Ship Type Expert Gas Carriers, Stability and Safety, DNV Maritime) will join the discussion to try to find an answer.
They will be joined by Rasmus Stute (Vice President and Area Manager Germany, DNV Maritime), Hasso Hoffmeister (Senior Principal Engineer, DNV Maritime), Dr. Olaf Doerk (Head of Advisory Center Hamburg, DNV Maritime) and Sergey Gribanov (Area Business Development Manager Germany, DNV Maritime) in representing DNV at the conference.
