In this course you will learn about PV plant design using DNV's validated design and energy prediction software. This process is made simple with SolarFarmer's workflow-driven user interface. 

With one day of training you will be iterating designs and using world-leading models to assess the performance of your site. 

Target group

Those developing solar PV projects and seeking to gain high accuracy yield predictions of their designs using SolarFarmer.

Format

The training is done in a combination of sessions that our experts teach via video conference, in addition to walkthrough software exercises. The course is run for a class of up to five interactive attendees and an unlimited number of passive attendees. 

Learning objectives

This course will equip you with an understanding in the use of SolarFarmer software, including: 

  • GIS and climate data download and import 
  • Technology representation 
  • System design iterations and scenarios 
  • Energy calculation settings and results 
  • Automation examples and advanced features 
  • Reporting and layout export
