The Third Party Management module is currently seeing high demand. It is designed to help companies identify, qualify and manage third parties in a systematic, consistent and transparent way. Another high-demand module is the Business Contingency Management module, which is rapidly deployed and enables businesses to specially developed tools essential for businesses during a pandemic or post-pandemic environment, including safe workplace assessments, travel risk assessments and emergency response planning. Synergi Life supports informed decisions
Many of DNV’s surveyors and consultants work in potentially high-risk environments, from inspecting ships in large-scale shipyards, checking inside chemical tanks or working on offshore oil rigs or wind turbines. Safety procedures must be strictly followed to prevent incidents and address hazards. DNV has identified the processes that carry the highest risks. “Using data from Synergi Life, we are able to quickly adjust our safety procedures, based on the real cases and risks,” says Sukhinin. But accidents are not limited to industrial environments. Driving to and from work, or slips, trips and falls in office environments can also present areas in need of HSE improvement. “These are situations where we tend to naturally let our guard down. Situations that are routine may cause us to go on ’auto-pilot,’” he says.
“When we have incidents or near misses, we learn where our risks are and implement actions to mitigate the risk, improve the way we work and share lessons learned based on reports from Synergi Life,” says Sukhinin. “We track our performance in real-time and this helps us understand what we can improve. Without Synergi Life we wouldn’t be able to fully understand these risk factors,” says Sukhinin.
Carbon neutral
DNV has been using the Synergi Life Environmental Management module for several years. “Our annual report is independently assured by an external auditor, in accordance with the GRI Standards. The numbers from the “Environment and climate” section of our annual report are very thoroughly verified,” says Sukhinin. “We have been verified carbon neutral since 2018. Synergi Life was a critical element in achieving this,” he says.
“Every year we create more than 200 cases in the Environmental Management module. We have more than 200 locations submitting data directly into Synergi Life. The system does all the required calculations for us. When all the data is in the system it is an effortless process to provide an audit trace and demonstrate the calculations to an auditor: maximum transparency and control. Here the dashboards, the standard functionality of Synergi Life, make tracking all the changes and deviations extremely easy,” he says.
