The "RaPiD-models" project is funded by the Norwegian Research Council and comprise the following partners

The project owner is DNV, the world’s leading classification society and a recognized advisor for the maritime industry, the technical advisor to the oil and gas industry, and we deliver world-renowned testing, certification and advisory services to the energy value chain including renewables and energy management. It is also a world-leading provider of digital solutions for managing risk and improving safety and asset performance for ships, pipelines, processing plants, offshore structures, electric grids and more. This project will be coordinated by the Oil & Gas programme in the Group Technology & Research (GTR) department in Oslo, but will involve experts from other departments and domains as well, including riser technology, advance computational modelling (e.g. FE and CFD), machine learning, software engineering, risk analysis and technology qualification.

SINTEF Digital is part of the SINTEF Group that is Scandinavia's largest independent research organization and is a non-profit research foundation. It employs 2 100 people, mostly in Trondheim and Oslo. SINTEF Digital is represented by the Department of Mathematics and Cybernetics. SINTEF Digital has extensive experience from the development of open source high-fidelity simulation software, reduced order modelling and machine learning. The involved scientists have a broad network with the national and international research community. Moreover, the department has a history of improving the TRL of research projects and applying them to real life problems. The most notable among those is the world's only high-resolution numerical wind simulation turbulence alert system operating real time at 17 Norwegian airports. The senior scientists involved in this project have experience from several earlier successful IPN-projects.
