DNV-ST-F121 Pipeline installation using horizontal directional drilling

This standard (ST) provides guidance and requirements for all phases of a horizontal directional drilling (HDD) project, including installing pipelines beneath obstructions such as rivers and highways, and offshore pipelines approaching the shoreline.

The objective of this document is to provide an international standard for design, construction and installation of pipelines using HDD. It also serves as a contractual reference document between a pipeline operator and its subcontractors for the design, construction and installation of pipelines using HDD.
