This service specification (SE) supersedes 0021/ND Rev 10 Guidelines for the Approval of Towing Vessels. It describes the DNV Noble Denton marine services towing vessel approvability scheme (TVAS), how it is run and how vessels may enter it.

This SE describes the requirements for a vessel to be entered into the DNV Noble Denton marine services towing vessel approvability scheme (TVAS). It does not cover the towage of specific vessels or barges, specifications for which may be found in DNV-ST-N001.
