This recommended practice (RP) specifies technical requirements and guidance for the qualification, manufacturing and testing of steel forgings intended for components and equipment in subsea applications.
The material grades covered are carbon steels, micro-alloyed steels, low-alloy steels and modified grades thereof, as per material groups 1 and 2 in API Spec 20B.
