This standard (ST) provides principles and technical requirements for design and construction of electrical installations regarding wind turbines onshore and offshore.
The objectives of the ST are to:
- provide an internationally acceptable level of safety by defining minimum requirements for electrical installations in wind turbines (in combination with referenced standards, recommended practices, guidelines, etc.)
- serve as design basis for designers, suppliers, purchasers and regulators
- serve as a contractual reference document between suppliers and purchasers
- specify requirements for wind turbines subject to DNV certification.
