IFS Broker 3.1

A one-day course introducing the principles of the role of intermediaries / brokers in food production and distribution as defined in the International Food Safety (IFS) Broker 3.1 standard.

This course is designed to aid in developing an understanding of the IFS Broker 3.1 standard and its role and purpose in the food and products safety chain. The standard was updated to Version 3 in 2019. It is a first step on the route to certification to the IFS Broker standard and version 3.1 is the latest update.

The course examines the structure and guidelines of the standard and includes practical examples and guidelines for certification.

Objective

Upon completion of the course, attendees should have gained an understanding of the role of intermediaries and how the requirements of the standard assist in performing their role. In particular they will understand:
  • The structure of the IFS family of standards
  • The KO requirements
  • IFS hazard analysis
  • IFS Audit Portal and IFS auditXpress
  • Current IFS developments
  • When to apply for IFS Broker certification
  • How to prepare for first IFS Broker audit
