Discover how to run transient simulations with greater confidence and save time through automation for advanced pipeline analysis
As pipeline operators face increasing challenges from regulatory requirements, CO₂ readiness preparations, and the need for enhanced safety measures, traditional approaches to surge analysis are proving insufficient.
Watch this exclusive webinar, where Alex Fischer demonstrated how Synergi Pipeline Simulator’s Parametric Study tool - Model Lab not only revolutionizes your workflow but also significantly enhances your decision-making process and regulatory compliance.
Traditional surge analysis methods often involve manual, time-consuming processes that limit your ability to explore multiple operational scenarios. This webinar shows you how to run parallel simulations, build confidence through comprehensive system understanding, and achieve new levels of efficiency through python-powered automation.

Getting started with Model Lab is quite straightforward, especially if you've been using Synergi Pipeline Simulator for a few months. We have several resources to help you get started. Our support team can set up an initial consultation call to walk through your first study, and ondemand training videos are available to guide you through the basics. The learning curve is not steep at all with proper support and resources. If you're interested in starting or need an introductory session, our support team is happy to provide one-on-one assistance to help you understand how you can take advantage of Model Lab for your specific applications. |
There is no limit to the number of cases that can be analyzed in Model Lab. You can essentially run cases until your hard drive is full. However, when it comes to visualization tools like Viewport, there may be some performance challenges with hundreds or thousands of cases. It's recommended to limit Viewport case studies to around 20-25 simulations to look at on one chart for optimal performance. |
Model Lab is a standard feature that comes combined with Synergi Pipeline Simulator. If you encounter an issue when launching Model Lab that indicates licensing problems, please notify the support team, as this is a license they can provide to you. |
Yes, absolutely. This capability can be achieved by leveraging ADL scripting logic or Python logic in SPS. Many users have successfully used custom attributes to compute unbalanced forces. Through custom scripting logic, you can implement prescribed equations to measure unbalanced forces for the simulation and then apply them to your transfer lines. |
Synergi Pipeline Simulator allows you to create custom valve curves, so an equal |
Synergi Liquid operates in both steady state and successive steady state modes, which means time-varying analysis is possible. As part of that time-varying analysis, there's packet tracking capability that can move batches and DRA through the system. You can specify fluidspecific DRA characteristics and inject specific DRA for specific fluids. Synergi Liquid can model batch pipeline systems and run daily or weekly schedules. Even if you need an initial line fill, you |
There are ways that impeller spindown can be influenced by certain pump attributes, and therefore, this behaviour can be studied for sensitivity and also calibrated in Synergi Pipeline Simulator and Model Lab. |
