Hydrogen can play a significant role in decarbonising the world’s energy supply and is receiving increasing focus as the energy transition moves at pace. To grow confidence in the market, electrolysers need further standardisation to reduce uncertainties and risks in hydrogen projects.
To tackle this challenge, Frauenhofer Institut and DNV are launching a new Joint Industry Project (JIP) to develop a standard approach ensuring reliable and cost-efficient electrolysers for the growth of hydrogen.

“The green hydrogen market represents one of the growth axes for EDP and we are keen on supporting a safe and cost-efficient growth of this technology. We have had very good experiences with other JIPs led by DNV. Especially the joint learning process of all partners during the project phase is very valuable and worth at least as much as the final result. We are looking forward to this joint exchange.”
