DNV-ST-0076 Design of electrical installations for wind turbines

This standard (ST) provides principles and technical requirements for design and construction of electrical installations regarding wind turbines onshore and offshore.

The objectives of the ST are to:

  • provide an internationally acceptable level of safety by defining minimum requirements for electrical installations in wind turbines (in combination with referenced standards, recommended practices, guidelines, etc.)
  • serve as design basis for designers, suppliers, purchasers and regulators 
  • serve as a contractual reference document between suppliers and purchasers
  • specify requirements for wind turbines subject to DNV certification.
