Hamburg Offshore Wind Conference 2024

Join us at Germany’s long-standing and most popular event for the offshore wind sector and hear global industry experts share their insights on policies, opportunities, and challenges. This year’s overarching theme is “German Offshore Wind between vision and reality – how to successfully realise 70 GW!”

Conference outline

Offshore Wind is playing a crucial role in the energy transition, and picking up on Germany’s ambitious offshore wind target of achieving 70 GW by 2045, we want to deep dive into recent developments, challenges and actions needed to turn ambition into success.

One critical aspect of accelerating the deployment of offshore wind energy is an effective offshore wind auction design, which is crucial for achieving ambitious renewable energy goals while maximizing value for governments and societies. Ensuring a sustainable, reliable value chain to support cost efficiency, supply chain resilience, technology advancement and long-term commitments is equally important.

Together with two industry leading, prominent panels of speakers we will zoom in on these topics and discuss various perspectives of how to move forward:

  • Capacity builds out vs supply chain issues
  • Status up-date from new auction winners
  • Review & Reflection of the auction design
  • What does the industry need to deliver a sustainable, reliable value chain
