Navigating the Energy Transition: Decarbonizing the Natural Gas Distribution System
The future of energy and the system we have become accustomed to is changing. Jurisdictions across the United States, and the world, are grappling with a real energy transition due to resource prices, public opinion, regulatory mandates, the future of our environment, and many other forces. Natural gas systems have long been the backbone of safe and reliable service for millions of customers, but that is shifting and the future is less clear. Areas such as hydrogen, non-pipe alternatives, grid modernization, demand side management, renewable natural gas, fugitive emissions, and others are being thrust to the forefront as these locals grapple with how to bring a safe, equitable, and efficient service to customers. This webinar will interview three key voices from different North American utilities who are navigating this very transition. It will ask them what their companies are doing to be part of the transition, how they see the trajectory of the market going forward, and what they think the key questions are that we all should be asking ourselves.
