In today’s cyber landscape, speed is everything and attackers are moving faster than ever. As cybercriminals increasingly automate their attacks using AI and powerful compute, defenders are often left responding at human speed, creating a dangerous latency gap. 

In this session, Tom Van de Wiele, Offensive R&D Lead at DNV Cyber, explores how AI‑driven adversaries are fundamentally shifting the balance of power in cybersecurity. He explains why many traditional defences are becoming obsolete and how autonomous AI agents are lowering the barrier for highly sophisticated attacks.
