Regulation is reshaping cybersecurity

Cybersecurity has become both a regulatory and a business priority. Frameworks such as NIS2, DORA, the AI Act and the Cyber Resilience Act, are increasing pressure on organizations to manage cyber risk, compliance and operational complexity while keeping the business running.

V2 Security is Denmark’s annual meeting place for professionals working with cybersecurity, information security, compliance and digital resilience. Over two days, security leaders, practitioners and decision‑makers come together to explore how organizations can respond to growing regulatory pressure and turn compliance into a foundation for resilience and sustainable growth.

Meet DNV Cyber at V2 Security

The New Perimeter: Securing Against the New Era of Autonomous Threats

In today’s cyber landscape, speed is everything and attackers are moving faster than ever. As cybercriminals increasingly automate their attacks using AI and powerful compute, defenders are often left responding at human speed, creating a dangerous latency gap.

In this session, Tom Van de Wiele, Offensive R&D Lead at DNV Cyber, explores how AI‑driven adversaries are fundamentally shifting the balance of power in cybersecurity. He explains why many traditional defences are becoming obsolete and how autonomous AI agents are lowering the barrier for highly sophisticated attacks.

You will gain practical insights into:

  • How autonomous threats are changing the cyber risk landscape
  • Why exposure management needs to evolve beyond traditional controls
  • What organizations should prepare for in their future security and hiring strategies

Risk Management: Bureaucratic Paperwork or a Strategic Management Tool for Business Risk Management

Enterprise IT risks, NIS2, the AI Act, supplier risks, cloud dependency and regulatory pressure – how do organizations effectively mitigate the real business risks behind cyber and information security?

In this session, Diana Görlitz, Lead Auditor at DNV, explains why a well‑functioning Information Security Management System (ISMS) is not bureaucracy, but a strategic management tool. Based on insights from organizations across sectors, she shows how structured risk management helps leadership teams prioritise, stay compliant and strengthen resilience where it matters most.

Key takeaways

  • How regulation translates into business risk
  • Why ISMS supports better management decisions
  • How compliance can become a business enabler, not a burden
