The NightWatch 2025

Building critical infrastructure resilience in the face of uncertainty

The NightWatch is our annual industrial cybersecurity gathering, a complimentary event featuring industry thought leaders across a diverse range of global industries. Bringing together the industrial cybersecurity community to discuss and learn from experts and established strategies from the field.

In an era defined by disruption, the resilience of Europe’s critical infrastructure is being put to the test. Economic volatility, geopolitical tensions, and rapid technological change are converging to create new vulnerabilities. Supply chains are under pressure. National security frameworks are being reassessed. Emerging technologies bring both promise and risk.

The NightWatch 2025 will bring together cybersecurity experts, public sector and national security stakeholders, and infrastructure operators to share strategies for achieving security and resilience amid uncertainty across diverse sectors.

Where and when

The 8th edition of The NightWatch will be held on Thursday, 30 October at The Tobacco Theatre in the historical center of Amsterdam (with limited seats available). The event will also be streamed live - giving you the option to join us virtually from anywhere.

  • Major General Pieter Cobelens (ret.), former Director of the Dutch Military Intelligence and Security Service, will address the theme of “Threat and Deterrence.” He will examine how organisations can strengthen their resilience and deterrence strategies in response to current geopolitical developments, while highlighting the growing significance of data and leadership in today’s security landscape
  • Petteri Korvala, Secretary General of the Security Committee in Finland, will present “The Finnish Concept for Comprehensive Security,” sharing insights into Finland’s holistic approach to national resilience and the integration of cybersecurity into broader security strategies
  • Ragnar Heksem, Safety and Automation Leader at AkerBP, and Anne Wahlstrøm, Head of Cybersecurity Advisory Nordics & Functional Safety Unit at DNV Cyber, will share practical approaches to managing OT cybersecurity risk by integrating cybersecurity into a barrier management context, illustrated with real-world examples from AkerBP
  • Denise Anderson, President and CEO of the Health Information Sharing and Analysis Center (Health-ISAC), will lead a panel discussion on how the healthcare sector is managing cyber threats, escalating risks, and supply chain challenges. The panel will also explore the interplay between healthcare and other sectors, emphasising the importance of cross-sector insights and collaboration in building collective resilience.
