Integrated Management Systems (IMS) is one where the requirements of two or more management systems such as Quality, Environment and Health & Safety are combined into a single system. Such an integrated management system ensures that requirements of specific management system standard alongwith the common requirements of all the involved standards are working in harmony as an integrated management system reaping the business benefits and performance improvement. This course has been designed to provide an understanding of the Quality Management System (QMS) based on the ISO 9001:2026 standard, Environmental Management System (EMS) based on the ISO 14001:2026 standard and Occupational Health & Safety Management System based on the ISO 45001:2018 standard.

Auditing an IMS can involve separate processes for each standard or, in order to reduce workload and cost, a single process for all standards. The course includes an in-depth knowledge of the audit process and skill-based learning on how to initiate, plan, conduct and report an audit of the integrated management system, so to realize true benefits from the requirements of the ISO 9001:2026 QMS, ISO 14001:2026 EMS, ISO 45001:2018 OHS following the ISO 19011 International Audit Guidelines.

The course is structured in a workshop sense with various interactive activities. The first 2 days of this course covers knowledge and understanding of the ISO 9001:2026 quality management system, ISO 14001:2026 environmental management system, and ISO 45001:2018 Occupational health and safety management system standard. The day 3 to 5 of the course cover the integrated audit process and how to plan, manage and report to ensure compliance with the standards being audited to. Auditor competence is a critical factor for the successful integrated management system audit and therefore are to be discussed in detail.
