Transparency of asset integrity

“The industry is looking for transparency of asset integrity conditions. With the new Synergi Plant dashboard this has become reality,” says Tommy Tang, Product Manager Plant Integrity Software at DNV GL. “Our brand new dashboard gives unprecedented flexibility and makes Synergi Plant plant integrity management software unique in the market. It allows you to build KPIs, data grids, graphics and activity status. You can have individually tailored views, where you can monitor and track your asset integrity status and see the big picture. The dashboard provides a clear and direct way to make integrity management success visible to all of your stakeholders,” he says.

“In today’s market, with focus on reducing operational expenditures, asset integrity is extremely important. Unplanned downtime, maintenance and repairs are driving up costs and reducing revenue – an unsustainable combination. With the new Synergi Plant dashboard our customers have the integrity status of their assets at their fingertips. Operators and managers can act on anomalies before they develop further and become unwanted events,” says Are Føllesdal Tjønn, DNV GL.

Optimizing investments

Other new Synergi Plant modules include a safety-critical element risk assessment module to monitor asset conditions and criticalities. This helps optimize investments on integrity management, saving cost and resources for planning and doing inspection and maintenance with the risk-based methodologies.

Synergi Plant 5.2 also has standard risk based inspection (RBI) modules supporting the latest approved API 581 and DNV RP G101 standards on the same platform. It has a specific RBI module for power plant facilities. The bespoke RBI and reliability centred maintenance (RCM) modules have been brought in to Synergi Plant from legacy GL software solutions after the merger of DNV GL. Users can now build their own methodologies and risk models when implementing risk-based inspection and reliability-centred maintenance.

Synergi Plant also has a new security module that allows flexible user groups and roles, associating them with screens, functions, visibility and permission control.

Effective integration with external software

An additional benefit is the enhanced integration mechanisms with SAP and Maximo. Maintenance requests can be brought into SAP or Maximo directly based on inspection and anomaly results in Synergi Plant, and work order status can be retrieved to ensure the risk mitigation actions are performed effectively.
