How DNV can help you comply with FuelEU Maritime regulations
FuelEU Monitoring Plan Online Form
Since May 2024, DNV has provided an online FuelEU Monitoring Plan form to help companies take the first steps toward FuelEU Maritime compliance. The form is designed according to the official EU template and offers an intuitive, modern interface that ensures all required information is entered correctly.
For companies managing large fleets, the copy function allows the creation of a “mother plan” that can be replicated across the fleet, saving time and resources. Additional features include pre-filled options and tables, detailed explanations for each step, and automatic validation rules to check for errors. The form can also be synchronized with an approved MRV monitoring plan, making the process even more efficient.
Verification of FuelEU Emissions Report
As an accredited verifier for FuelEU Maritime, DNV will begin verifying partial FuelEU Emissions Reports in 2025 and annual reports starting in 2026. This fully digital service includes an integrated interface that enables customers to generate reports covering EU and UK MRV, IMO DCS, and FuelEU Maritime regulations.
Data can be uploaded daily via API through Veracity Integrated Partners, and users can benefit from a pre-verification data quality check to identify missing information or errors before the official verification process.
Verification of FuelEU Pool
DNV also supports companies participating in FuelEU Pools by verifying compliance balances and ensuring accurate allocation of surpluses and deficits as well as fulfilment of pooling rules. This service helps companies manage shared compliance obligations effectively and ensures that regulatory requirements are met. Verification processes follow EU regulations and guidelines and include digital tools for streamlined data submission and review.
Site Visits
In addition to digital solutions, DNV conducts periodic site visits, either physically or virtually, as required by regulation to gain a thorough understanding of company and ship's monitoring and reporting systems and procedures as described in the Monitoring Plan. These visits are typically combined with ISM company audits and are recommended every three years, but they are also available as a standalone service for companies without ISM certification from DNV.
