Improving social compliance audits to ensure safe and sustainable supply chains.
The Association for Professional Social Compliance Auditors (APSCA) is a practitioner-led initiative formed in late 2015 by the International Federation of Inspection Agencies (IFIA) and leading certification bodies.
DNV GL will together with the other 16 APSCA members work to improve social compliance audit quality and ultimately workplace conditions for workers globally.
Companies are increasingly being held responsible for their products’ origin, and that they have been sourced and produced in a sustainable manner. However, a significant percentage of organizations have limited visibility beyond their first tier of suppliers. Without visibility from source to retail, companies face significant risks related to human right violations.
