Environmental Management System Auditor Conversion Training Course as per ISO 14001:2026
A three-day lead auditor course providing an in-depth understanding of the key components of Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and ISO 14001:2026 framed within a wider context of business improvement.
This course is designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform and lead first, second, and third-party audits of management systems against the requirements of ISO 14001:2026. It includes guidance given in ISO 19011 for first- and second-party audits as well as the requirements of ISO17021 for third-party audits. The course is also focused on auditing ISO 14001 using a Risk-Based approach.
We offer all our training courses and the final exams in two delivery modes, depending on the country where they are offered. You can select a classroom training or an online tutored training at your convenience. The total number of learning hours and learning objectives per training course remains the same for both delivery types.
For online tutored training, agenda & group exercises are adapted to an online learning environment. The total number of learning hours spent online per day with your tutor is adjusted to cater for maximum interaction & learning experience online. (ex. every 90 minutes there will be a short break of 10 minutes)
Online exams: Special conditions apply. Ex: LAN connection & a portable web-camera is required.
Assessment: Participant evaluation is through Continuous assessment during the complete training course and an online examination managed by CQI and IRCA at the end of the course. Exam details & special conditions by CQI and IRCA will be available to you online once enrolled for the course.
A ‘Certificate of Achievement’ will be awarded to participants who passes both continuous assessment & the written examination.

Pre-requisites
For successful completion of this course, it is recommended that you have prior knowledge of the following;
- Management System – The PDCA cycle
- Knowledge of the requirements of the ISO 14001:2026 and intended outcomes for enhancement of environment and fulfilment of compliance obligation.
- Terms and definitions related to EMS.
These prior knowledge requirements can be easily gained by attending our Foundation course in ISO14001/ Environmental Management Systems.
Participants should hold a valid Lead Auditor Certificate for a full five-day course, in Quality, EMS or equivalent. Such a certificate is mandatory in order to apply for CQI IRCA Auditor Certification.
