FSSC 22000 Version 7 Lead Auditor Training Course based on ISO 22000:2018

A full week course designed to provide participants with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second-and third-party audits of food safety management systems against the requirements of ISO 22000:2018.

The aim of this course is to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills required to perform first, second and third-party audits of food safety management systems against the FSSC 22000 scheme, in accordance with ISO 19011, ISO 22003-1, and ISO/IEC 17021-1, as applicable. The scheme includes ISO 22000, sector-specific requirements (ISO 22002-100 plus ISO 22002-x series), and FSSC 22000 additional requirements.

This course has been registered and certificated by FSSC and by the CQI and IRCA Governing Body and satisfies the formal training requirements for individuals seeking registration under CQI and IRCA or other Auditor Certification Schemes.

We offer all our training courses in two delivery modes, depending on the country where they are offered.

You can select a classroom training or an *online tutored training at your convenience. The total number of learning hours and learning objectives per training course remains the same for both delivery types.

For online tutored training: agenda & group exercises are adapted to an online learning environment. The total number of learning hours spent online per day with your tutor is adjusted to cater for maximum interaction & learning experience online. (ex. every 90 minutes there will be a short break of 10 minutes).

Assessment: Participant evaluation is through Continuous assessment during the complete training course and an online examination managed by CQI and IRCA at the end of the course. Exam details & special conditions by CQI and IRCA will be available to you online, once enrolled for the course.

A ‘Certificate of Achievement’ will be awarded to participants who pass both continuous assessment & the final exam.

Objectives:

After successful completion of the course, attendees will have gained an understanding of:

  • Explain the role of an auditor to plan, conduct, report and follow up a food safety management system audit.
  • Plan, conduct, report and follow up an audit of a food safety management system.

Pre-requisites:

  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle - the core elements of a management system and the interrelationship between top management responsibility, policy, objectives, planning, implementation, measurement, review, and continual improvement
  • The relationship between food safety management and the provision of safe food products to prevent or minimize adverse effects on human health and the proactive improvement of food safety performance
  • Principles of food safety management including prerequisite programs as specified in ISO 22002-100 and ISO 22002-x series and HACCP
  • Food Safety Management Systems requirements as per ISO 22000:2018 and FSSC 22000 version 7
  • The role of ISO 22003-1 in food management system certification
  • Awareness of the food chain categories and sub-categories in ISO 22003-1
  • Awareness of common examples of relevant national and local FSMS legislation and requirements

Any professional in the food safety industry with a basic understanding of the requirements in ISO 22000:2018, FSSC 22000 version 7, seeking process-based auditing skills and knowledge required to audit food safety management systems.
