DNV-RP-C212 Offshore soil mechanics and geotechnical engineering

This recommended practice (RP) provides comprehensive guidelines and methodologies for evaluating and managing the geotechnical aspects related to offshore structures, including planning and executing soil investigations, and modelling, analysing, and estimating the geotechnical capacity of offshore foundations.

This RP can be used to support the geotechnical design of offshore foundations, such as piles and shallow foundations, and assessment of jack-up footings. For guidance regarding the geotechnical design of pipelines, see DNV-RP-F114. For guidance regarding the geotechnical design of anchors, see DNV-RP-E301, DNV-RP-E302, DNV-RP-E303, and DNV-ST-0119.

This RP provides methods, recommendations, and guidance which DNV considers adequate to fulfil the geotechnical requirements in DNV standards such as DNV-ST-0145 and DNV-ST-0126.
