DNV Renewables Certification is an Accredited Certification Body according to ISO/IEC 17065, ref. Accreditation Certificate D-ZE-22290-01-00. The accredited certification body is DNV Renewables Certification GmbH, and DNV Renewables Certification is the trading name of DNV’s certification business in the renewable energy industry.
The lead accreditation body is the Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (DAkkS). To achieve the accreditation our management system, methods and technical competences have been and are continuously assessed, audited and witnessed by this Accreditation Body.
DAkkS is the national accreditation body of the Federal Republic of Germany. Pursuant to Regulation (EC) No. 765/2008 and the Accreditation Body Act (AkkStelleG), it acts in the public interest as the sole provider of accreditation in Germany. DAkkS is a full member of the European co-operation for Accreditation (EA) and a signatory to the EA Multilateral Agreement (MLA), which supports the European recognition of accredited conformity assessment results. DAkkS is also a signatory to the IAF Multilateral Recognition Arrangement (MLA), supporting the worldwide acceptance of certification deliverables issued by DNV.

DNV Renewables Certification is additionally accepted as an IECRE Certification Body (RECB). The acceptance is a result of a peer assessment confirming full compliance with the rules and procedures of the IECRE system and based on our ISO/IEC 17065 accreditation.
