Get started with post-quantum cryptography (PQC)

Join our practical workshops enabled by the joint project between Simula UiB and DNV Cyber for facilitating the PQC migration in Norway. Together we will support you to understand how to protect digital infrastructure from the threat of powerful quantum computers and the important role of post-quantum cryptography (PQC).

Quantum computers threaten the cryptography we rely on for digital security. In five to ten years’ time, it will be mandatory to have moved completely to post-quantum cryptography (PQC). We need to replace vulnerable cryptography with PQC alternatives. How should you start this important task in your own organisation?  

NorPQC is a joint project between Simula UiB and DNV Cyber. It was formed to accelerating and facilitating the PQC migration in Norway and it is funded by the Research Council of Norway (RCN) The objective of NorPQC is to actively help Norwegian organisations get started on the PQC migration process and develop a strategy for completing it.

NorPQC will host three complementary workshops for IT professionals with a role in making the transition to post-quantum cryptography for their organisation. The one day workshops will provide you with practical training on topics like:

  • Risk assessment of the data you handle considering the threat from quantum computers
  • How to discover and map all cryptography in use in your IT systems
  • Selecting the correct PQC alternatives and where they should replace existing cryptography
  • Creating a plan for doing the actual replacements, with minimal impact on your daily business.

The workshops are free to attend, and registration is now open on our project registration page. The content will be the same for all three events, so you only need to sign up for one. You can choose between the workshop in Oslo or Bergen.
