This course covers ultimate strength and progressive collapse analysis of framed offshore structures using Usfos. Training focus is put on plastic limit state analysis of jackets subjected to extreme environmental loads (wave, wind and current) and accidental loads (ship collision, dropped objects and explosion).

Prerequisite:

It is required that the participants have attended SE-01 Concept based FE modelling and analysis using Sesam and SE-09 Jacket analysis or have similar experience. The participants should also have basic knowledge of non-linear structural analysis.
