Safe mobile crane operations

This program is designed to equip participants with the knowledge and skills to operate mobile cranes safely and efficiently. This course focuses on ensuring the well-being of both crane operators and those working in the vicinity of crane operations and promoting the protection of valuable equipment and materials.

  1. Duties and responsibilities of mobile crane operator
  2. Types of mobile cranes
  3. Advanced factors affecting rigging operations, including critical angle considerations
  4. Components of a mobile crane
  5. Pre-operation inspection
  6. Safe operating procedures
  7. Load charts and capacities
  8. Crane set up.

Entry requirement

  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Minimum qualifications: Higher secondary school certificate/equivalent
  • 5 years of experience as a crane operator
  • Valid license for specific equipment
  • Has previously completed a 3-day training course
  • Ability to read/speak the English language.

Assessment

  • Theoretical assessment at the end of the course
  • Practical assessment on a mobile crane.

Certificate and validity

Certificate of attendance, valid for 2 years, issued on completion of the assessment.
