The training is designed to provide knowledge and practical skills for the safe and efficient use of manlifts, also known as aerial work platforms. Manlifts are versatile machines used in various industries to elevate workers and their equipment to perform tasks at heights, and ensuring their safe operation is paramount to prevent accidents and promote workplace safety.

Entry requirement

  • Complete an IPEF (International Powered Access Federation) - approved training course and hold a valid IPEF operator license
  • No specific educational prerequisites for enrolment; however, participants must be at least 18 years old and have a basic understanding of workplace safety practices
  • Should have a basic understanding of MEWP operation and should be physically fit
  • Ability to read/speak the English language.

Assessment

  • Theoretical assessment at the end of the course
  • Practical assessment on a manlift.

Certificate and validity

Certificate of attendance, valid for 2 years, issued on completion of the assessment.
