ISO 22002 series - Foundation Course Prerequisite Programs on Food Safety
An essential foundation course introducing the ISO 22002 series and the prerequisite programs that underpin robust food safety management.
ISO 22002-100:2025 establishes unified sector-specific mandatory prerequisite program (PRP) requirements for organizations across the food, feed & packaging supply chain. It complements ISO 22000 and provides a holistic framework for addressing and managing both intentional and unintentional food safety hazards from farm to fork. Implementing these PRP requirements enables organizations to build a resilient, safe, and transparent food supply chain aligned with global best practices.
This foundation course on PRP requirements provides a framework for identifying, establishing and managing PRP requirements spanning building requirements, utilities, pest control, waste management, equipment, suppliers, transport, hygiene, food defense, and fraud mitigation.
The course design reflects a high level of interaction between the trainer and the participants. We teach you using instructor lead interactive quizzes and case studies/ group activities along with self-reflection activities on your own processes/organizations when applicable. This course has been designed with input and feedback internationally from a number of trainers, customers and training consultants.
