This recommended practice (RP) provides recommendations for assessing pipelines containing corrosion defects subjected to:

  • Internal pressure loading only.
  • Internal pressure loading combined with longitudinal compressive stresses.

Two alternative approaches to perform the assessment of corrosion defects are described.
