Port State Control – prepare for the CIC starting September
The topic for 2024 will be about "Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreement under MLC".
The PSC Concentrated Inspection Campaign (CIC) will be taking place from 1 September 2024 until 30 November 2024. It will focus on “Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreement under MLC”.
As this CIC is based on Management Systems (MMS), ISM-related deficiencies will also be triggered. ISM has been the main detainable deficiency for several years now.
This webinar centres on a questionnaire that will be published at the beginning of August by the Paris and Tokyo MoUs. Every year, a focus topic is agreed by the two PSC regimes, which then serves as the subject of detailed checks during regular PSC inspections. The vast majority of PSC regimes are expected to join the CIC this year.
Webinar agenda:
- Background to all questions of the CIC on Crew Wages and Seafarer Employment Agreement under MLC
- Relation of this CIC to ISM
