Maritime Day Åland

Maritime Day Åland 2026 returns to Mariehamn on 21 May, bringing the regional maritime community together in Åland for a full day of maritime insights. DNV will bring our experts to host two seminars – a panel focusing on how we should navigate the future of an industry in rapid change, and a discussion on underwater noise and operating vessels in cold climates.

For this year’s edition there will be over 120 exhibitors - including policymakers, suppliers, seafarers, owners and other stakeholders. We will have a broad presence at the conference, including several speakers on the programme, experts on the floor and our booth in Zone D.

DNV will come together with Wärtsilä to host our joint seminar “Navigating the future: Confident approaches to shifting markets and requirements” on the main stage. The session will include topics and discussions on energy efficiency and paths to greener shipping, cargo owner perspectives on decarbonization and cyber security regulations.

In addition, we will host a seminar where our experts share insights and discuss how we work with underwater noise in through DNV Silent Class, as well as our expertise on Polar Code with our Cold Climate Advisory.
