DNV-RP-B205 Digital inventories and on-demand manufacturing

The objective of this recommended practice (RP) is to provide requirements, guidance, and a contractual framework to enable the digitalization of inventory through the digitization of parts and the assessment of readiness for the on-demand delivery of parts.

This RP includes recommendations, methods, and requirements relevant to:

• The assessment of physical parts to determine their suitability for digitization
• The process(es) needed to digitize physical parts, in a manner that ensures a minimum required level of quality and is compatible with a digital inventory system that reflects the degree of asset readiness
• On-demand manufacturing.
