Multi fuel boiler launch and demonstration

A consortium of Stedin, Intergas, Bekaert, GasTerra, and DNV has successfully developed a first proof‑of‑concept.

Date 18 June, 2026
Time 10:00 - 13:00
Place DNV, Zernikelaan 14, Groningen

The energy transition is driving energy systems towards a hybrid model where electrification and renewable gases go hand in hand. At the same time, gas networks are evolving from single‑fuel systems into flexible infrastructures capable of handling multiple gas types and qualities.

However, realizing this transition is far from straightforward. It requires simultaneous upgrades of homes and gas networks, leading to complex logistics, tight planning dependencies, and significant execution pressure.

The multi‑fuel boiler breaks this deadlock. It automatically adapts to different gas qualities (natural gas, hydrogen, and blends) without modifications or loss of comfort. This decouples in time building upgrades from network conversion, enabling a more flexible, manageable, and cost‑efficient transition.

A consortium of Stedin, Intergas, Bekaert, GasTerra, and DNV has successfully developed a first proof‑of‑concept. We therefore invite you to experience this breakthrough firsthand.

On June 18, we will demonstrate the technology live and show how this innovation can accelerate a practical and scalable energy transition.

Combine your visit with the New Energy Forum

(on walking distance)

The launch takes place on the same day as the New Energy Forum (NEF), the festival about energy transition, mobility, and sustainability at Entrance in Groningen, within walking distance of DNV. This offers you the opportunity to attend both events and make the most of your visit to the Northern Netherlands.

At New Energy Forum, professionals, entrepreneurs, students, teachers, researchers and policy makers will come together to break existing patterns and take new steps together in the transition to a sustainable future. This is not a traditional conference, but an energetic day full of inspiration, connections and action.
