About Dr Pedersen

Frank Børre is currently leading the programme “Digital Assurance” with 40+ researchers in DNV’s research and development department, focusing on research within emerging technologies such as AI. This program has developed the new recommended practice for assurance of AI-enabled systems (DNV-RP-0671), and focuses on digital transformation, autonomous systems, responsible AI, inspection technologies, simulation technologies, emerging digital technologies, and risk. 

His primary focus is working with key stakeholders in critical infrastructure industries such as energy and healthcare to develop frameworks and recommended practices for the safe application of AI-enabled systems. His technical and managerial experience across industries including oil & gas, maritime, and renewable energy, combined with developing novel services within enterprise risk management where innovations and co-development with customers was the modus operandi, has positioned him as a leader in driving transformative solutions and fostering collaborative growth. He is frequently invited to speak at various conferences and events to share his knowledge and experience with AI assurance, and has a significant impact on enabling industries to adopt trustworthy AI. 

His expertise spans broad and deep insight into AI, digitalisation, technology, risk and uncertainty. Special focus on research, innovations, deployment and value creation.
