NV Energy.
The project
In 2016, NV Energy hired DNV to implement its Solar Incentive and Distributed Generation programs. As administrator for the suite of Clean Energy Programs, DNV has processed nearly 30,000 incentive and interconnection applications for NV Energy Clean Energy Programs. DNV also performed critical online application platform upgrades and enhancements, which included the addition of energy storage incentive applications, streamlining the solar incentive application submittal and review process, which resulted in increased contractor and customer satisfaction, and creating and implementing a new construction application submittal and review process.
In 2018, our engagement broadened to include four new electric vehicle charging station incentive programs, all of which provide incentives to offset the costs associated with DCFC and Level 2 chargers. DNV technical experts assisted with the design and launch of the EV charging stations incentive programs and energy storage incentive programs. The team wrote program handbooks, updated the online application platform to accommodate energy storage and electric vehicle incentive programs, assisted with marketing content and developed a client dashboard for tracking program results.
DNV’s contribution
DNV reviews applications through the entire application process, ensuring they meet all technical and program requirements to qualify for an incentive. Upon project completion, we review all documentation for accuracy and compliance, perform inspections, and issue payments. We work closely with contractors and customers via our call center and email box to educate them on the EV programs. Program reporting functions include incentive funding tracking and application type/count.
