Emily Grady joined us as our renewable energy coordinator as well as the office administrator in San Diego, CA. Emily has a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Lafayette College in Pennsylvania, and a Master of Advanced Studies in Climate Science and Policy from Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UC San Diego. Before joining us at DNV, Emily worked in several positions ranging from Task Force Leader and Volunteer at Citizen’s Climate Lobby working on Wisconsin’s 2030 to 2050 utility carbon reduction goal, to Client Service Coordinator and Manager with Aveanna Healthcare supporting, coordinating, and managing home health care for medically complex pediatric clients amongst others.

Description
Ben Todd Derek joined the Measurements Team as a Senior Technical Project Manager. He brings a research background in environmental fluid mechanics, focused primarily on understanding the interplay of transport, water quality, and ecosystems in lakes and estuaries . In his previous positions – at the San Francisco Estuary Institute and the UC Davis Tahoe Environmental Research Center – Derek oversaw distributed sensor deployments and leveraged associated data to address water quality management challenges, his doctoral thesis at UC Davis focused on characterizing physical drivers of nearshore water quality variability in Lake Tahoe.

In the renewable energy sector, Tanner brings skills in energy production assessments, technical design review, field engineering, quality control and assurance, owners engineering, commissioning, and O&M consulting. Ms. Molly Cox joined DNV in October 2021 and is responsible for providing project management services for utility scale PV projects in North America. Ms. Cox has worked in the photovoltaics field for more than five years with experience in project cost estimating, product procurement and emerging technologies. Prior to joining DNV, Ms. Cox served as a PV analyst at Wood Mackenzie, where she published market research on global system cost and technology trends, with a focus on the US market. There, she maintained relationships with clients and provided them with insights needed to make informed business decisions for residential, commercial and utility scale projects. Before joining Wood Mackenzie, Molly served as an Account Manager with CivicSolar (now CED Greentech), where she helped PV installers design residential and small commercial projects, and sold them PV equipment. Ms. Cox also has experience in the ecotourism industry from her time at Lindblad Expeditions, where she managed operations for expedition cruises. Molly holds a Bachelor’s degree in global studies from Colby College, with a concentration in environmental studies.

Mr. Candelario joined DNV in 2021 as a Project Manager in the Solar Independent Engineering Section and is responsible for providing PV project due diligence and project management for utility scale projects in North America. Prior to joining DNV, he worked over 5 years as a Technical Service Manager and Technical Lead for Heliolytics, developing technology and systems for performing aerial inspection and analysis of over 70 GW of PV plants. Before entering the PV industry, Mr. Candelario worked in energy management, electrical power distribution equipment manufacturing, and international development focused primarily on projects in the water and sanitation and business development sectors.
