Managing Change and Continual Improvement - Distance learning

A two-part course comprising an online session and a distance learning element on the subject of change management implementation and management.

This course comprises Part I: virtual training session - Introduction to the course (2- 3 hours) followed by Part II: self-paced study (8 weeks) - giving a unique opportunity to learn at a participant’s own speed online and complete the training. The learning outcome of this blended delivery option is the same as that of classroom training.

This course pack is designed to develop the practical skills and ability to lead teams in the deployment of improvement approaches, focusing on key tools, techniques, and methodologies for facilitating and supporting organizational change.

This course includes a 1-hour examination and on successful completion, delegates will be awarded a certificate of achievement in practitioner level – Managing Change and Continual Improvement.

Topics covered:

  • Process management overview;
  • Overview of improvement methodologies (approaches) and their application;
  • Roles in change management;
  • Key improvement techniques;
  • Approaches to building readiness for change: stakeholder, process owner, process manager, process operator, planning and influencing;
  • Effective communications and visual management.

Objective

Upon successful completion of the course, participants will have:

  • Developed knowledge and approaches towards implementing or contributing to effective change in organizations.
  • Gained the practical skills and ability to lead teams in the deployment of improvement approaches, focusing on key tools, techniques, and methodologies for facilitating and supporting organizational change.

Recommended prior learning: Introduction to change management and Introduction to process design.
