Principal Researcher and Chief Modeller of the Energy Transition Outlook
Onur holds master’s and Ph.D. degrees in industrial engineering from Boğaziçi University in Istanbul, Turkey. His expertise is in simulation models, particularly system dynamics methodology, with applications in energy, sustainability and socio-economic systems. His academic work prior to joining DNV GL involved sustainability challenges in urban and regional settings and using simulation models as learning environments.
Since 2015, he is engaged in several research and commercial projects related to the energy transition and sustainability in DNV GL’s research unit. Currently, he leads the modelling activities for the annual Energy Transition Outlook.
